Sensoji/浅草寺
🌸 This temple is located in Taito Ward, Tokyo, and is currently the head temple of the Sacred Kannon (Sho-Kannon) sect. It is the oldest temple in Tokyo, with a history spanning nearly 1400 years. Known as "Asakusa Kannon," it has gathered the faith of common people and became a central hub for the development of Edo culture. Today, it is a major tourist attraction representing Tokyo, visited by many people from both Japan and abroad. In the spring, 50 cherry blossom trees beautifully bloom, coloring the Nakamise and the temple grounds along the Omotesando approach. Beyond the Kaminarimon Gate, which is a symbol of Asakusa, the Nakamise-dori street continues, lined with various shops such as restaurants, retro Japanese goods stores, and toy stores, offering a lively atmosphere in the spring.
