Tokyo Tower x Tokyo Skytree: Circle of Apollonius

Image
Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower are both landmarks of Tokyo, but they differ greatly in height and design. Tokyo Tower is 333m tall, with historical design and attractive night views. Tokyo Skytree is 634m tall, boasting an overwhelming height of more than twice that of Tokyo Tower. Although Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree are similar yet different, there are places where the two towers of different heights appear to be aligned at the same height. Why, even though they are about 8km apart in a straight line?! The answer is a theorem called the Circle of Apollonius. Since it's a circle, there are many places where you can see it! Try searching for 'Tokyo Tower and Skytree: Circle of Apollonius' 📲 https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ https://www.tokyo-skytree.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube. Tokyo Tower x Thunder🌩️

What happens when lightning strikes Tokyo Tower? ⚡️ It seems that the lightning rod at the top of Tokyo Tower has a function to discharge lightning deep into the ground through a conductor, so people inside do not get electrocuted. By the way, I've heard that Tokyo Tower is struck by lightning several times a year, but I wonder if that's considered many or few times… Furthermore, I hear that the Tokyo Skytree, which is the tallest structure in Japan, gets struck by lightning more than ten times a year! It's scary to think that it gets struck in the same place more than ten times! It seems that Tokyo Skytree and the University of Tokyo are jointly conducting lightning observations and research. Knowing the characteristics of lightning is very valuable and important, and if we could store and reuse the electricity from lightning, it might be the ultimate form of ecology ⚡️ https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo...

Tokyo Tower and cherryblossom

Image
In the precincts of Zojoji Temple, which is adjacent to Tokyo Tower, there are approximately 200 cherry blossom trees, including Somei Yoshino, one of Japan's three major cherry blossoms, Edohigan, Yuten cherry, and weeping cherry trees. A graceful scenery unfolds where cherry blossoms, Tokyo Tower, and the temple perform together, and you can enjoy the cherry blossoms while feeling the solemn atmosphere unique to the temple. Nearby Shiba Park is also a spot where you can feel the arrival of spring while taking a leisurely stroll, so it is recommended for those with small children. About 140 cherry blossoms, such as Somei Yoshino, Yamazakura, and Satozakura, gradually color the park against the backdrop of Tokyo Tower. https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube.   The height of clouds varies depending on weather conditions and the season, but various altitudes of clouds, such as high-level, mid-level, and low-level clouds, are observed above Tokyo Tower. Contrails are often seen along an airplane's flight path, so the presence or absence of contrails depends on the aircraft's flight situation. Observing the clouds from the Tokyo Tower observatory allows you to see a more detailed view of the clouds. https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube. Tokyo Tower

Zojoji Temple, located in the heart of Tokyo and continuing to protect the tombs of the Tokugawa Shoguns, is a place of training as the head temple of the Jodo sect. It is also attracting attention as an Instagrammable spot with Tokyo Tower towering behind its precincts. The Jodo sect, which has the simple teaching that 'anyone can be reborn in the Pure Land if they simply chant 'Namo Amida Butsu',' was founded in 1175 when its founder, Honen, was influenced by the ideas of the Chinese monk Shandao. In the main hall of Zojoji Temple, the 'Great Hall', the principal image 'Wooden Amida Nyorai Statue' is enshrined in the center, and Honen Shonin and Zen Master Shandao are seated on either side of it. The view of the temple and Tokyo Tower together might give you the feeling of time-traveling between Edo and Tokyo. https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube. It is said that part of the steel used in Tokyo Tower is made from steel from US military tanks used in the Korean War.  It's surprising that the steel material from the main observation deck at 150 meters above the ground and above was repurposed from tanks. https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube.  Did you know that you can climb Tokyo Tower on foot? There are stairs leading up to the main deck at a height of 150 meters. There are about 600 steps, but even children can climb them in about 15 minutes, so if you're confident in your physical strength, why not give it a try? Of course, you can also take the stairs only on the way down. Unlike the elevator, you can experience the air and scenery 150 meters above the ground. https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube. When names were solicited for Tokyo Tower, there seemed to be many suggestions such as: ・Peace Tower ・Showa Tower ・Japan Tower The most popular was "Showa Tower" with 86,269 submissions. However, in the end, it was decided to be "Tokyo Tower" based on the geographical name. As a name for a tower that would become the world's tallest, "Showa Tower" might have been too weak to make its name known to the world. https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube. Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower It is said that the work site during the construction of Tokyo Tower was incredibly harsh by today's standards. There were no safety nets to prevent falls, no safety belts for workers, and no handrails, yet the construction workers were performing tasks at high altitudes. They apparently worked as long as the wind speed was below 15m/s. A wind speed of 15m/s means the wind travels 15 meters per second, which translates to 54km/h! This is a situation where strong wind advisories are issued. It's strong enough to shake entire large trees, making it difficult to walk against the wind, and at sea, the crests of waves break, and white foam is blown away by the wind. It's comparable to the strong wind area of a typhoon. Despite this harsh environment, the workers continued their work. Unfortunately, one construction worker fell to his death due to the strong wind, but the annual number of deaths in the construction industry at that time was 1,846, which makes one ev...

Tokyo Tower has an image of being red and white, but if you look closely, the red color is actually orange. It is natural that Tokyo Tower, with its distinctly strong color, does not blend in with the surrounding scenery. This color scheme is based on aviation law regulations that require buildings exceeding a certain height to be painted red and white. The orange color that appears red is "International Orange," a color stipulated by aviation law for safety purposes. Tokyo Tower is designed to not blend in with the landscape in order to avoid danger. https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube. It is a symbolic building of Tokyo's development as a modern city. 🇫🇷Eiffel Tower: Built for the 1889 Paris Exposition. It was a symbol of modern architectural technology at the time and a landmark to showcase France's technological prowess. ⚙️Structure 🇯🇵Tokyo Tower: Made of steel, with a stronger structure to withstand Japan's harsh climate and earthquakes. 🇫🇷Eiffel Tower: Made of iron, with a spatial structure that gives a graceful impression. A lattice design is used for weight reduction and durability. 🎊Opening 🇯🇵Tokyo Tower: 1958 🇫🇷Eiffel Tower: 1889 🏗️Height 🇯🇵Tokyo Tower: 333m 🇫🇷Eiffel Tower: 330m *Initially about 312m, then 321m in 1957 with the installation of antennas, 324m in 2000, and 330m i...

Tokyo Tower is characterized by its orange and white exterior, designed after the Eiffel Tower in Paris. When it was completed, it transmitted television and radio waves, but since the 634-meter Skytree was built in Sumida Ward, the television and other radio waves have been transferred, and it is now operated as an FM radio tower. The height above ground is 333 meters, and there is a "Main Deck" at a height of 150 meters and a "Top Deck" at 250 meters, from which you can see the cityscape of Tokyo and, if the weather is good, even Mount Fuji. https://www.tokyotower.co.jp/ 🇯🇵JAPAN We are introducing the wonderful scenery of Tokyo Tower with Lo-Fi Music on YouTube.
