Kanda myojin 神田明神


 



Kanda Myojin is known for ``Kanda Festival,'' one of the three major festivals of Edo, and is affectionately known as ``Myojin.'' It is said to bring various benefits such as prosperous business, good luck with marriage, and academic achievement. 


It boasts a history of about 1,300 years since its founding in 730, and famous warlords from the Sengoku period have visited the shrine. It is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu came here to pray for a sure victory when he was preparing for the Battle of Sekigahara.
