Ana Hachimangu Shrine

 ⛩️

It is said that the shrine was founded in 1062 when Minamoto no Yoshiie enshrined the Hachiman deity.

In 1641, a side hole was found while cutting open the foot of a mountain, and a gilt-bronze statue of Amitabha Buddha appeared from inside, which is why it came to be called Ana Hachimangu.

The enshrined deities are Emperor Ojin (Hondawake no Mikoto), Emperor Chuai (Tarashinakatsuhiko no Mikoto), and Empress Jingu (Okinagatarashihime no Mikoto).
