Ushigome Sochinju Akagi Shrine is believed to bring good fortune in finding a partner, safe childbirth, and marital harmony, and is visited by many women.



The modern, glass-walled shrine pavilion was rebuilt in 2010 by the famous architect Kengo Kuma, and is attracting attention as a fashionable shrine.



"Iwatsutsuonomikoto"



He is a god who was born when Izanagi no Mikoto defeated the fire god Kagutsuchi with his sword. He has excellent powers of wisdom, benevolence, and courage, and is highly revered as a god of industrial development, elimination of bad luck, and learning and arts, and especially as a god of fire prevention.



"Akagihimemikoto"



She is said to be the daughter of the Oko family, and the former betto (head priest) was Tendai sect Toeizan Kan'eiji Temple, Akagisan Enmyoin Tokakuji (described as Tokakuji in the Edo Meisho Zue), and the local Buddha of the temple was a Jizo Bodhisattva in riding posture.



In the days when Shinto and Buddhism were mixed, it was said that the image of Akagi Daimyojin was distributed from Tokakuji to the parishioners, and it is still occasionally seen in old houses in the parish. Therefore, although it is not related to "Iwatsutsuonomikoto", it is enshrined together.

Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower are both landmarks of Tokyo, but they differ greatly in height and design. Tokyo Tower is 333m tall, with historical design and attractive night views. Tokyo Skytree is 634m tall, boasting an overwhelming height of more than twice that of Tokyo Tower.
