Shinagawa Jinja 品川神社
⛩️
Shinagawa Shrine, a historic shrine said to have been founded by Minamoto no Yoritomo at the end of the Heian period and where Tokugawa Ieyasu prayed for victory in battle, is one of the ten shrines in Tokyo and one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Tokai, and is a famous spot in Shinagawa that is visited by many worshippers from both inside and outside Japan.
It is familiar to many people for its seasonal visits such as New Year's visits, shrine visits for newborns, and Shichi-Go-San (a festival for children aged seven, five, and three), as well as for students praying for success in exams, prosperous business, and prayers for safety and health.
